The Pediatric Cell and Gene Therapy Research Center has been one of the research centers of the Gene, Cell & Tissue Research Institute at Tehran University of Medical Sciences since 2016. This center is located at the Children’s Medical Center Hospital.
Given the significant advancements in the field of biological and medical sciences, research in cell and gene therapy has become one of the key elements of modern medical transformations. This emerging scientific field brings new hope and improvement, particularly for diseases that previously had no definitive treatment.
With the assistance of outstanding researchers, advanced equipment, and international collaborations, the Pediatric Cell and Gene Therapy Research Center is committed to expanding knowledge in this field. Our goal goes beyond the production of knowledge and technology; we aim to convert our scientific findings into practical and effective solutions, ultimately improving the quality of life for patients and enhancing public health.
We believe that the future of medicine lies in the achievements of cellular and genetic advancements, where the treatment of diseases is not limited to symptom relief but extends to the repair and regeneration of tissues and body systems at the cellular and genetic levels. This advanced vision strengthens our responsibility in research and development of these new technologies, while also motivating us to fulfill our mission.
I invite all researchers, specialists, and students to join us in this important and advanced scientific path and to make a meaningful contribution to the transformation of medicine and healthcare at both national and global levels.
Respectfully,
Dr. Amir Ali Hamidieh
