The Pediatric Cell and Gene Therapy Research Center was launched in 2019 to advance stem cell and regenerative medicine research and technology. This center is located in the Children’s Medical Center Hospital, The country's center of excellence in pediatrics. It is a research center affiliated with the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The main goal of this center is to operate in the field of gene therapy and cell therapy. This center has been recognized as a full-member center by the European Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Association (EBMT) since 2015.
The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art cell and molecular laboratory alongside specialized clean rooms designed for cell and gene therapy research. These clean rooms meet the rigorous standards required for safe and effective cell-based therapeutics, allowing our team to carry out high-impact projects using the latest advancements in regenerative medicine.
